As we celebrate the coming of Window Wonderland 2024 in the Junction, I’m thrilled to create a mural for this event in collaboration with the Junction BIA, Cool Earth Architecture—one of our window partners—and, Artivive, an internationally renowned AR app. Join us as we kick off painting days on the first weekend of October!
The project started with Cool Earth Architecture to understand their business goal, which focuses on buildings to address climate change. While researching climate change and its impacts and solutions, I discovered that whales play an integral role in preserving our ecosystem. These magnificent creatures are essential in maintaining the carbon cycle and supporting biodiversity. By releasing nutrient-rich waste, whales stimulate phytoplankton growth—tiny plants that absorb significant amounts of CO2. When these plants die, they sequester carbon in the ocean, helping combat climate change.
In light of this revelation, all parties agreed to move forward with this brilliant idea, and I was more than happy to draw one of my favorite animals while contributing to the message that by protecting these incredible beings, we help preserve the delicate balance of our ecosystems. Together, we can foster a sustainable future—where saving whales means saving our planet. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to view the 2D animation created by Cara Watson for the augmented reality experiences with Artivive app from the mural, further enriching our connection to this vital message.
To add to the excitement, if you follow me on my socials @dreamdoodle, share & tag me on your story and, meet me or just passing by during the painting event, you’ll receive a complimentary sticker! If you’re interested in purchasing one of my art products, kindly let me know in advance, and you can pick it up during the event!
Looking forward to seeing you there! 😊
