Dreamdoodle painted a traffic signal box in Liberty Village for StreetARToronto’s Outside the Box program in 2025, and filled it with raccoons living their best Toronto life.
Watch the timelapse, see what’s on the box, and find out how the program works.

What’s on the box
Raccoons are part of everyday life in Toronto, so they were the obvious stars. I wanted the box to be a fun statement about living in this city.
The idea started with a line about Toronto life: chasing sunsets by the lake, grabbing late-night burgers at a 24/7 diner, and riding the streetcar. That’s what the raccoons are up to on the box. And yes, the typos in the tag are on purpose.

Painting in Liberty Village
Painting on the street meant meeting the locals in Liberty Village and spreading some raccoon love while the box came together.
