Why a whale
This sticker carries the same message as Whale Tales, my mural for Window Wonderland 2024. While researching that mural, I learned that whales help the ocean store carbon: their waste feeds phytoplankton, which absorb carbon dioxide and carry it to the deep sea. Protecting whales helps protect the planet.

Where your purchase goes
5% of every Protect Our Giants purchase goes to GREMM (Group for Research and Education on Marine Mammals), a registered Canadian charity in Tadoussac, Quebec. GREMM studies the whales of the St. Lawrence, including its endangered belugas, and shares that research to help protect them.
I add up the 5% from every sale and send it to GREMM once a year, in December.
